Airbus A330-300s wing their way softly into the distance
There are ten Airbus A330-300s in the Lufthansa group fleet. Fully loaded, these twin-jet, long-haul aircraft have a range of up to 10,000 kilometers and seat as many as 315 passengers. The necessary thrust comes from the Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines specially developed for the A330 series and reputed to be particularly quiet and economical thanks in part to broader, more efficient fan blades. They make the engines up to five decibels quieter than comparable ones in their class.
