Personnel changes in the Lufthansa Group

Summary
  • Dr Alexis von Hoensbroech is to become the new CEO of Austrian Airlines, subject to approval of the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines 
  • Dorothea von Boxberg to succeed as Chief Commercial Officer at Lufthansa Cargo subject to approval of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Cargo
  • Andreas Hagenbring will become new Board Member of Lufthansa AirPlus
  • Dennis Weber succeeds as new Head of Investor Relations

Dr Alexis von Hoensbroech (47), currently Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Cargo, is to become the new CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Austrian Airlines from 1 August 2018. He is thus the designated successor to Kay Kratky (59) who will leave the company at the age of 60. The Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines must approve this proposal at its next meeting. 

Dorothea von Boxberg (44), currently Head of Global Sales Management at Lufthansa Cargo, shall succeed in the position of Chief Commercial Officer on the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo as of 1 August 2018. The Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Cargo must approve this proposal at its next meeting. 

Harry Hohmeister, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa Cargo says: “I am happy to propose Alexis von Hoensbroech to the Supervisory Board as successor to Kay Kratky and CEO of Austrian Airlines. Furthermore, I am also pleased to recommend Dorothea von Boxberg for the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Lufthansa Cargo. Her comprehensive management experience in Strategy, Product Development and Sales are an optimal prerequisite for this task.”

Andreas Hagenbring (39), currently Head of Investor Relations Lufthansa Group, will become new Member of the Management Board of Lufthansa AirPlus Servicekarten GmbH. He will assume his new duties on 1 July 2018. Dennis Weber (39), currently Head of Investor Relations at Hugo Boss AG, will become responsible for Investor Relations at the Lufthansa Group from 1 July 2018.
