Astrid Neben has been Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Lufthansa Airlines since 1 October 2022.
Astrid Neben's professional career began with an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk followed by studies in Business Education in Berlin. After working for three years as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Education at Humboldt University, she first joined Lufthansa Technik AG as a consultant in personnel recruitment and development. Between 2001 and 2008, she held various positions in the personnel department, mostly with a focus on personnel development. In 2008, Astrid Neben became head of personnel development at Lufthansa Technik AG and, in this position, facilitated the implementation of a trainee program. From 2009 to 2010 she took over the project management for the strategic realignment of recruiting at Lufthansa Technik AG, as well as the management for the further development of the leadership culture. Her field of responsibility expanded again in 2015, when she became responsible for personnel development, organizational development and change for the company. In 2017, Astrid Neben was appointed Head of HR LHT Group. Here she led the realignment of the HR organisation in various aspects. Astrid Neben was appointed Head of HR Lufthansa Airlines in November 2020 and Chief Human Resources Officer in the extended Executive Board of Lufthansa Airlines in 2022.
Astrid Neben was born in Lüneburg (Germany) in 1973 and is unmarried.
