Sustainability reporting

Continuous reporting brings transparency to the topic of sustainability

With its sustainability report "Balance," the Lufthansa Group has regularly disclosed its environmental balance sheet since the mid-1990s. Reporting on environmental and sustainability topics is continuously developed in accordance with nationally and internationally recognized reporting standards. In addition to reporting in the Annual Report in the form of a non-financial declaration (since the 2017 financial year), the Lufthansa Group has also been following the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) for transparent reporting on climate risks and opportunities since 2020. At the same time, ESG reporting was expanded to include a SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) report.

As a company that has participated in the UN Global Compact since 2002, the Lufthansa Group also reports annually on its progress in the area of sustainable corporate governance along the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in the form of a Communication on Progress report.
